how the estate works, in plain hand.
the terms
every design is a numbered lot. every lot is capped — most at 24. the estate takes claims while the window is open, prints when it closes, and ships within 14 days after. printed to order in long beach, california, on heavyweight blanks, one screen, real ink.
the law of the house
print the places, not the people. the imagery comes from the public archive — buildings, land, graves, objects. faces stay in the album where they rest.
the rules, kept
- no restocks. a closed lot stays closed.
- no discounts. the price is the price the day it's posted.
- misprints aren't destroyed — they're documented and inherited through the estate lots, flaw named in writing.
- every order ships in the estate file: folder, tissue, wax, string.
the estate does not negotiate. it never had to.
